All of the borders had to be custom made from restrictive source material; The original pieces weren’t designed to be symmetrical, nor did they all include corner pieces, so we’re very pleased to bring new life to them over 150 years later! (Have a look below for a quick insight into how I made one of my favorites)

Transparent .PNG Images Throughout!
Each and every illustration is in the .PNG image format, with entirely transparent backgrounds. Ready and waiting to be dragged, dropped, copied, and pasted directly to your designs. You can overlap, layer, and print without any worries. Oh, best of all, the image format is compatible with pretty much everything including your mobile design apps.
Before & After
These beautiful illustrations were printed entirely by hand over 150 years ago and to give them the respect they deserve, our restoration process starts with a whopping 1200dpi scan to capture as much detail as possible. We then isolate each piece from the background while tidying up overprint, ink bleeds, and various other imperfections. With a few touch-ups here and there, they’re ready to hit the pixel stage with a sharp new look!

From that small piece above, we were able to source/create all of the elements below! If we can help it, absolutely nothing goes to waste. Giving these pieces a whole new life is an honor and each illustration deserves the best chance possible.
